Shihan Hanspeter Rüesch

Shihan Hanspeter Rüesch startet his budo career in 1972 at the age of nine. In 1982 he startet as an instructor in Judo and Jiu-Jitsu. Shihan Hanspeter Rüesch aquired in 1986 the title of Sensei. In 1997 he earnt the title of „technical director in Judo“ and he also opend hisfirst Dojo in Switzerland. Patrick Güntensperger, director of Swissbudo, deputised Shihan Hanspeter Rüesch in 2002 to the Jiu-Jitsu and in 2004 to the Judo expert of Swissbudo.

Soke Bryan Cheek has given him in 2003 the title of Renshi, the item of the „W.E.B.B.S. representative for Switzerland“ and „technical director of Jukoshin Ryu Jiu-Jitsu“, also for Switzerland.

2005 Soke Bryan Cheek has given him the title of Shihan and the item of “International Coordinator (IC) for Northern Europe”. And since 2005 is he memeber of the “Jukoshin World Grading Panel”.

In 2006 Shihan Hanspeter Rüesch succeeded the exam for the 6th Dan in Jukoshin Ryu Jiu- Jitsu in Japan. And Soke Yasumoto Akiyoshi has given him the item of the “Moto-ha yoshinryu jû-jitsu representative for Switzerland”.

In 2010 he earnt the title of “World Class Instructor W.E.B.B.S.” in Cyprus.

  • 2004 Jiu-Jitsu and Judo demonstration at the “Swiss Budo Masters” in Berne
  • 2009 Host of the first W.E.B.B.S.-OPEN in Switzerland

Shihan Hanspeter Rüesch hold the ranks of:

  • 6th Dan Jiu-Jitsu
  • 6th Dan Kobudo (Yaku-Kobu-Jitsu IS)
  • 5th Dan Judo
