Sensei Timo Mallinen is the W.E.B.B.S. representative for Finland

Sensei Timo Mallinen started practising boxing in 1972 and he took a part several national competitions during his boxing career.  Sensei Mallinen began his martial arts career in 1979 when he trained in the art of Shorinji Kempo.

After moving back to his hometown Oulu it took many years to return to martial arts when training began in Shotokan karate in 1986.

In 1990 Sensei Mallinen began to train in Juko Ryu Jujitsu under Sensei Auvo Niiniketo, 7th dan.

Four years later he started practising traditional Koryu Jujitsu under Sensei Yuji Matsuoi, 7th dan, gaining his Shodan (1th dan) in 1997.

In 1998 he met Sensei Derroll Conelly 9th dan and attended several seminars, gaining  Nidan (2nd dan) Jujitsu in 2001.

Sensei Mallinen has travelled yo many European countries and has met many greatly respected teachers and practisec under them.  One of them is Shihan Billy Doak, 7th dan Jujitsu  4th dan Judo, the founder of Welsh Goshin Jujitsu Federation.

Sensei Mallinen met Shihan Bryan Cheek for first time at his seminar in 1993. The next time he met Shihan Cheek was at a AJJC Jujitsu seminar in Oulu in 2004.

Sensei Mallinen has over 10 years working experience in the security business. He has been teaching security courses for different types of groups, such as  guards, socialworkers, health care staff etc.

He has worked for many years as a prison guard and since 2002 he has been an officer in the local police.

Sensei Mallinen is chief instructor of two Jujitsu clubs -  AJJC Oulu and AJJC Muhos.
